Portals to the Self: A Women's Circle by the Sea Isla Mujeres, Mexico March 17-24, 2007
Ceci McDonnell LISW and Karen Rosenberg, LISW, experienced therapists and guides, are offering their women's retreat for the 8th year.
The retreat is on beautiful Isla Mujeres, Isle of Women, in the turquoise blue Caribbean Sea. This small island was historically a place for healing rituals among the Mayan people. Participants will stay at the NaBalam, an intimate, informal hotel on the beach where landscaped trails, tropical gardens with hammocks hidden away and the beauty of the ocean will provide a perfect abode for the retreat
Yoga, storytelling, journaling, guided imagery and water play will serve as forms for accessing our psyche's depths. The retreat is held in a place sacred to Ixchel, the Mayan Moon Goddess, inviting women to gather for a time of retreat and replenishment. Together, we will create a circle of abundance, compassion and support as we weave together our stories and wisdom, becoming midwives of our dreams and visions.
Space is limited. For a brochure or more information, visit our website at www.islawomensretreat.com or e-mail kfrlisw@aol.com or call 440 779-6727.
