Goddess Trinity

by Connie Dewees-Gilger

Mother Sekhmet, you have blazed

a new path for me with your fires of

transformation.

I can do nothing but follow.

Your roar will not be silenced by old,

enslaving fears of yesterday.

Your soft paws draw me into a protective

embrace, nestled against your warm belly,

where I rest, to prepare for

my brave venture into the new world.

Mother Lilith,

I always dreamed of flying.

But it was you who gifted me with wings,

and pushed me from the limited to the

horizon of limitlessness.

Courageous Lillith, unencumbered by

shame or judgement. I fly with your wings

into the new world.

Mother Brigid,

Poetess, keeper of the spoken word

and scribed musings,

My gaze rests on your flames of

truth that sear all darkness.

I will share your divination,

your whispered mysteries,

with the waiting hearts of the

new world.
