On the edge of wonder. . .

Singing artist Jennifer Berezan hauled her recording equipment halfway around the world, to an underground tomb in Malta,to create her new CD album, Returning.

What was she looking for?

"It was so amazing, really hard to put into words what the experience was like, to go through a door and walk down three stories, carved underground and out of limestone, in beautiful circular rooms carved with exquisite artistry, with rounded corners … "

the island of Malta
c.4000 BC and is currently
undergoing renovation.

Jennifer went on to say, "When I was down there I was so excited to see that there was a room which they called the Oracle Chamber that was known to have been created for sound. There are some niches in the side of this room and if you sing into them, the sound is just extraordinary.

"I was singing some prayers into the space and it was fantastic, it resonated through all the rooms and chambers, and I was on fire with the idea of making a recording there. "
